  • As primary stakeholders of the Philbrook Valley and Watershed, most Community Association members actively take care of the lands around them as they have for the last 130+ years, including:

    • fire/fuels cleanup
    • clearing of clogged water passages
    • monitoring of sensitive areas for illegal activity
    • water testing
    • roads clearing
    • security (neighborhood watch-type activities)
    • adopting the roads into the area for trash pickup

  • Most members have made physical improvements on a PG&E-leased lot in the form a cabin.

  • We maintain hiking trails in the area

  • We are very active with Friends of the High Lakes, our neighboring conservation organization to the east

  • We monitor and protect the natural trout spawning areas in the lake, especially in the late Fall and early Spring when the reservoir is low.
