As primary stakeholders of the Philbrook Valley and
Watershed, most Community Association members actively take
care of the lands around them as they have for the
last 130+ years, including:
- fire/fuels cleanup

- clearing of clogged water passages
- monitoring of sensitive areas for illegal activity
- water testing
- roads clearing
- security (neighborhood watch-type activities)
- adopting the roads into the area for trash pickup
- Most members have made physical improvements on a
PG&E-leased lot in the form a cabin.
- We maintain hiking trails in the area
- We are very active with Friends of the High Lakes, our
neighboring conservation organization to the east
- We monitor and protect the natural trout spawning areas
in the lake, especially in the late Fall and early Spring
when the reservoir is low.
